NEGATIVE ORIGIN (Glitchwave / Crypt Hop / Darkwave / Dark Ambient) Negative Origin is an immersive exploration of the many ways technology, specifically computers, affect humans- in their psychology, philosophy, spirituality, identity, their outlook and vision of the future; specifically dated to the way of thinking many had in the 2000s. It was a pivotal period in human history. It was the turn of a millennium, perceived as a time when a future loomed where technology had taken control of humanity; right before our eyes, this was becoming more than just science fiction. It was a daunting unknown, what capabilities our computers could be given as they further developed, and how they could & would be used. It was a time when smartphones and social media as we know them today were in their infancy. Gl1tchthrone- Glitchy 8 Bit Dungeon Music. Inspired by the Gameboy games of the 90s. You could take your video games anywhere you went... these devices took a strong hold over people who were youth during the 1990s and late 80s. An entire virtual world in your pocket, or so it seemed at the time. These games had memory restraints that set strict limits on what was possible within the game. In some cases game malfunctions were becoming less as something to be annoyed with, but to be sought after and achieved- software exploitation and loopholes became a common thing to look for. Evident as well in the use of Game Genies or Gamesharks, and the popularity of 'cheat codes'. The way people interacted with these electronic devices was already changing, even in the hands of children who had little experience with the clunky internet and computers that existed at the time. It was the end of an era for handheld gaming and video game music, as 8-bit soon was abandoned for 16-bit an

TEKNODROME

Teknodrome ('Cartoon Thrash'/Retro 80s music) Electronic Music inspired by Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles, particularly the late 80s' cartoon and arcade games. It has a fun up tempo sound. The 1980s. A time of pixel graphic gaming- 8-bit bleeps and bloops, springy buttons and greasy joysticks. And of course, pizza & hand-drawn cartoons. It was a time of fun, but also of ignorance, oftentimes willful at that; many fed up adults, who grew up in the 60s and 70s, shut current world events from their mind, perhaps due to reluctance to accept this sprouting digital age. In some way this self distracting mentality was passed on to their children, as they put the eye-catching, colorful, far fetched concept cartoons on the TV or a Nintendo system to keep them occupied and out of their hair.
